Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology
Abdur Rohman Hamza is a 7-month-old infant who has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious lung infection that affects breathing and can become life-threatening if left untreated. The illness developed after several days of fever, cold, and cough, eventually causing breathing difficulties that required hospitalization. Due to his young age, prompt medical treatment and close monitoring are essential to prevent complications and support a full recovery. He is currently receiving appropriate care to improve his condition and restore his health.

Background
Abdur Rahman Hamza is a cheerful and innocent 7-month-old baby boy who brings joy to his small family. He lives with his parents in a tin-shed house with a mud floor, where his father, Mr. Abdil Halim, earns only BDT 6,000 per month as an auto-rickshaw driver, making it difficult to afford even basic necessities, let alone costly medical treatment. After developing severe pneumonia, Abdur began struggling to breathe, and without timely treatment, the infection could have become life-threatening and caused serious damage to his lungs. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, whose guidance gave them hope when they had no way to pay for their son's treatment. With urgent medical care, Abdur now has the opportunity to recover, grow up healthy, and enjoy the childhood every child deserves.
Medical history
Abdur Rohman Hamza was admitted to Seba Hospital on 14 June 2026 after developing a serious chest infection that caused fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. Because of the severity of his illness, he remained in the hospital for several days, where he received treatment and was closely cared for by the medical team. His condition gradually improved, and he became more stable during his stay. After showing good progress, he was discharged on 21 June 2026 with advice to continue his recovery at home. At the time of discharge, his family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctors, Abdur Rohman Hamza is expected to make a good recovery with timely treatment, appropriate medication, and continued medical supervision. The treatment will help resolve the lung infection, improve his breathing, and restore his overall health and well-being. As an infant, early intervention is particularly important to support his healthy growth and prevent further health complications. If left untreated, the infection could progress rapidly, leading to severe breathing difficulties and other serious complications. With proper care and follow-up, doctors are optimistic that he will recover and continue to develop normally.
