Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pregnancy
Krishna Rani has been diagnosed with a 37+ weeks intrauterine pregnancy with an oblique lie. An oblique lie means the baby is positioned diagonally inside the uterus instead of the normal head-down position, making a normal vaginal delivery unsafe. She is also experiencing abdominal pain and leakage of amniotic fluid, which further increases the risk of complications for both mother and baby. Without timely treatment, this condition may lead to cord prolapse, obstructed labor, fetal distress, lack of oxygen to the baby, uterine rupture, severe bleeding, or other potentially life-threatening complications for both mother and child.

Background
Krishna Rani is a kind and hopeful 20-year-old young woman whose greatest dream is to safely welcome her first child and build a happy future with her family. She lives with her husband and elderly parents-in-law, while her husband is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 5,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of the emergency Caesarean section while meeting their daily needs. Doctors have diagnosed her with an oblique lie, meaning the baby is lying sideways inside the womb, and without urgent treatment, both mother and baby could face serious, potentially life-threatening complications, including obstructed labor, umbilical cord prolapse, fetal distress, lack of oxygen to the baby, uterine rupture, severe bleeding, stillbirth, or loss of the mother's life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Sadika Rahman, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Krishna and her baby have the best chance of a safe delivery and a healthy future together.
Medical history
The patient,Krisna Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 17th June 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy3.0 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 21th June 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, an emergency Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) is the safest treatment because the baby is lying in an oblique position, making normal vaginal delivery extremely dangerous. With timely surgery, both mother and baby have an excellent chance of a safe delivery, and the mother is expected to recover gradually while caring for her newborn. However, if left untreated, the abnormal fetal position may lead to obstructed labor, umbilical cord prolapse, fetal distress, lack of oxygen to the baby, uterine rupture, severe bleeding, stillbirth, or even the loss of both mother and baby. Prompt surgical intervention provides the best chance of saving both lives and ensuring a healthy recovery.
