Roselyne is the only child of her mother, a single teenage parent who dropped out of school while in Form One. Her mother is currently unemployed and relies on occasional menial jobs and support from well-wishers to provide for her daughter. They live in a modest single-room mud-walled house under challenging economic circumstances. Despite these difficulties, Roselyne is normally a cheerful, playful, and active child who enjoys interacting with those around her. Roselyne was brought to the hospital after developing a swelling in the lower back region (lumbosacral area). Medical evaluation revealed a large lumbosacral haematoma, a condition in which blood accumulates within the tissues following injury or damage to blood vessels. Over time, the collection of blood increased in size, resulting in significant swelling and discomfort. As blood became trapped within the haematoma, a substantial amount was effectively lost from normal circulation. This contributed to the development of anaemia, causing symptoms such as weakness, paleness, reduced activity, and fatigue. Due to the size of the haematoma and the associated anaemia, Roselyne required further medical evaluation, close monitoring, and appropriate treatment to prevent complications and support her recovery.

Roselyne was brought to the hospital with complaints of body pains, she was found to be severely anemic and had a hematoma on the sacral region(around waist areas) she was promptly admitted for management. She was transfused blood, she was so administered some medication like brufen, ranferone among other. She responded well to medication and was eventually discharged on orals. A follow up clinic booked for her to check her recuperation outcome.

Severe anaemia with a sacral tissue haematoma is a potentially serious and life-threatening condition due to the risk of inadequate oxygen supply to vital organs and ongoing blood loss. However, with prompt medical intervention, including correction of the anaemia and management of the haematoma, the prognosis is generally favourable and recovery is expected, though close monitoring is required to prevent complications.
