Aziba Hossain is a cheerful and innocent 1-year-6-month-old baby girl who is deeply loved by her parents, elder brother, and grandfather. She lives in a five-member family where her father is the only earning member, working as a temporary bus ticket seller with a monthly income of only BDT 9,000, making it impossible to afford the cost of her kidney surgery and follow-up treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. With the support of Helpster Charity (Case ID: 5235), Aziba successfully underwent lifesaving kidney surgery on 2 May 2026, but she now requires admission for the planned removal of the DJ stent to complete her treatment. Without timely removal of the stent, she remains at risk of recurrent kidney infections, permanent kidney damage, kidney failure, bloodstream infection (sepsis), and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer ABM Alamgir, giving them hope when they had no other way to continue their daughter's lifesaving treatment.

Aziba Hossain, a cheerful 1-year 10-month-old girl from Barishal, was diagnosed with a serious blockage in her right kidney that caused severe swelling and a kidney infection. She underwent a successful Anderson-Hynes (A-H) Pyeloplasty on 2 May 2026 to remove the blockage and save her kidney, with a DJ stent placed to support healing. After several weeks of recovery, she was admitted again on 17 June 2026 for the planned removal of the DJ stent. The procedure was completed successfully under general anesthesia, and her recovery was smooth without any complications. She was discharged in stable condition on 18 June 2026, bringing great relief and happiness to her parents. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the doctors and staff of USB Specialized Hospital for providing timely treatment and giving Aziba the chance to grow up with a healthy kidney and a brighter future.

According to the treating surgeon, Aziba Hossain responded very well to the surgical treatment and the planned removal of the DJ stent. The obstruction at the pelvi-ureteric junction has been successfully corrected, allowing normal urine drainage from the right kidney and reducing the risk of future kidney infections. Her postoperative recovery was uneventful, and she was discharged in stable condition with advice for regular follow-up to monitor kidney function and healing. With continued follow-up and proper medical care, she is expected to have normal kidney function and a healthy childhood. If the condition had remained untreated, it could have resulted in recurrent infections, progressive kidney damage, and eventual loss of kidney function.
