Tanishfa Akter Rubi is a bright, kind, and determined 16-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a doctor so she can serve poor and underprivileged people in her village. She is the eldest of three siblings and deeply cares for her younger brother and sister, but her father, a shop assistant, earns only a small income that is barely enough to provide food, education, and other basic necessities, making the cost of emergency surgery impossible to afford. Doctors diagnosed her with acute appendicitis, and warned that without urgent surgery, her appendix could rupture, causing severe infection, peritonitis, sepsis, and other life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Younus, giving them hope during this difficult time when they had no other way to pay for her treatment.

Tanishfa Akter Rubi, a 16-year-old girl, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 17.05.2026 through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed with complaints of intensely persistent abdominal pain, predominantly in the lower right side of the abdomen, prolonged constipation with abdominal bloating and difficulty passing stools, along with recurrent nausea and vomiting that caused dehydration and weakness. Upon admission, detailed clinical evaluation and necessary investigations were carried out, which confirmed the diagnosis of Acute Appendicitis. Considering the severity of her condition, she was immediately hospitalized and underwent an Appendectomy (surgical removal of the inflamed appendix) under General Anesthesia. Postoperative care, including pain management, wound care, medications, and regular monitoring, was provided to ensure a smooth recovery. She remained hospitalized for five days and showed gradual improvement following surgery. The patient was discharged on 22.05.2026 in stable condition with appropriate medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have advised an appendectomy, which is a surgical procedure to remove the inflamed appendix and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, Rubi is expected to recover well, her pain will resolve, and she will be able to return to her normal daily activities and support her family again. The treatment will also prevent the spread of infection and protect her overall health. However, if left untreated, the appendix may rupture, leading to severe infection inside the abdomen, which can be life-threatening. Delay in treatment could result in serious complications and put her life at significant risk, making urgent surgery essential.
