Background
Samuel would like to be a policeman when he grows up. He performs well in class and takes his studies seriously. He enjoys athletics too, specifically 100m relay race. In his free time he likes to help around with the chores in their small house. In November last year, his aunt noticed a strange mark-like hole on his back; Samuel had also been complaining of repeated back aches which makes him have a slanting posture. This has made him very dull and quiet over time.
Medical history
Samuel sustained a small penetrating wound on the back wall of his thorax, extending into the thoracic cavity. A CT scan confirmed that no major vessels or organs were affected. He was managed conservatively with antibiotics and showed steady improvement. During his hospital stay, he was closely monitored for potential complications such as pneumothorax, hemothorax, or abscess formation, but none developed. Within two weeks, Samuel had fully stabilized and returned to his normal posture and activities. His parents later shared that they had first learned about Helpster Charity through a road advertisement by a volunteer from Elgon View.
Prognosis
