Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Md. Farhan Islam has been diagnosed with Adenotonsillitis. Adenotonsillitis is an infection and inflammation of the adenoids and tonsils that causes sore throat, high fever, difficulty swallowing, swollen tonsils, and enlarged neck glands. As the infection worsens, it may lead to poor feeding, mouth breathing, snoring, disturbed sleep, dehydration, and breathing difficulties, significantly affecting the child's health and daily activities. If left untreated, the infection can spread to surrounding tissues or the bloodstream, causing deep neck infections, airway obstruction, sepsis, rheumatic fever, kidney complications, and other life-threatening conditions.

Background
Md. Farhan Islam is a kind and respectful boy who dreams of becoming an agricultural farmer, but his persistent throat pain and breathing difficulties have made it hard for him to study, play, and sleep peacefully. He lives with his parents and his 3-year-old younger brother, Yousuf Ali, and the family depends entirely on his father Sadikul Islam's small monthly income of only 6,000 BDT, making the cost of surgery and treatment far beyond their reach. Despite receiving treatment at the Upazila Health Complex, his condition has continued to worsen, and without timely treatment, his enlarged tonsils and adenoids could lead to repeated infections, severe breathing problems during sleep, poor growth, and serious health complications. His parents are deeply worried that his illness will prevent him from enjoying a normal childhood and achieving his dreams. After learning about Helpster Charity through a health worker, the family is humbly seeking support so Farhan can receive the treatment he urgently needs.
Prognosis
The treating physician has recommended an adenotonsillectomy under general anesthesia (GA) as the definitive treatment for Farhan's bilateral tonsillitis and adenoiditis. This procedure will remove the chronically enlarged tonsils and adenoids, relieving airway obstruction, reducing recurrent infections, improving swallowing, and restoring normal sleep and breathing. With timely surgical intervention and appropriate postoperative care, he is expected to make a full recovery and enjoy a healthy childhood without persistent throat-related problems. Delaying the surgery, however, may allow his condition to worsen, increasing the likelihood of repeated throat infections, persistent breathing difficulties during sleep, impaired growth and development, hearing problems due to recurrent ear infections, chronic sinus infections, and other complications associated with prolonged airway obstruction. Therefore, early surgical treatment is strongly advised to ensure the best long-term outcome and prevent avoidable health risks.
