Md. Shaker is a brave and resilient Bangladeshi boy who lives with his widowed mother and three siblings in a family of five, doing his best to support his family despite their extreme hardship. After losing his father, the family was left without a stable source of income, and their fragile home was completely destroyed by a devastating landslide, leaving them homeless and unable to afford the cost of emergency treatment, surgery, medicines, and rehabilitation. Through a Helpster Charity medical outreach program in Kutupalong, the family learned about the available support and urgently sought assistance to save Shaker's life. Despite losing both their home and belongings, they have no financial means to continue his treatment without humanitarian support. Without timely orthopedic surgery and comprehensive medical care, his severe landslide-related injuries could lead to permanent disability, bone non-union, chronic infection, life-threatening bleeding or sepsis, loss of limb function, and other serious complications that could permanently affect his future or even threaten his life.

Md.Skaker was admitted to Orion Hospital on 01 July 2026 through Helpster volunteer Tamjid Md Muktadir with Landslide-Related Polytrauma with Closed Displaced Fracture of the Shaft of the Left Tibia-Fibula and Deep Scalp Laceration. He Admission for close monitoring, specialist orthopedic consultation, emergency trauma stabilization, pain management, wound care and bleeding control, diagnosis through detailed clinical and radiological evaluation, staged Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of the left femoral shaft fracture under anesthesia once medically stable, followed by postoperative care, physiotherapy, and regular follow-up. He was discharged in semistable condition with next plan of ORIF on 08 July 2026 with medications, dietary advice, and follow-up instructions. His family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team at Orion Hospital for their generous financial support, compassionate care, and successful treatment.

The recommended treatment includes hospital admission for close monitoring, emergency trauma stabilization, specialist orthopedic consultation, pain management, wound care, bleeding control, detailed clinical and radiological evaluation, followed by staged Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) of the left tibia/fibula shaft fracture under anesthesia once medically stable, along with postoperative care, physiotherapy, and regular follow-up. With timely treatment and rehabilitation, Md. Shaker is expected to achieve good bone healing, recover from his injuries, regain normal mobility, and return to his daily activities. If left untreated, the fracture may heal improperly or fail to heal, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, severe infection, bone non-union, permanent disability, loss of limb function, bloodstream infection (sepsis), and other life-threatening complications
