Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About immune system
The patient has been diagnosed with adenotonsillitis. Adenotonsillitis is inflammation and enlargement of the tonsils and adenoids, which can cause throat pain, difficulty swallowing, recurrent fever, and breathing difficulties. In Mahadi’s case, the enlarged tonsils and adenoids have caused persistent throat pain, swallowing difficulty, recurrent fever, breathing problems, and sleep apnea. The condition is affecting his sleep and daily activities and requires appropriate medical management.

Background
Mahadi Rahman Shawon is a 5-year-old boy who loves playing with toy cars and dreams of becoming a doctor, but persistent throat problems have made his daily life increasingly difficult. He lives with his parents and elder brother in fragile housing, while his father is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning only approximately USD 49 per month, making it difficult to afford both basic necessities and medical treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet and sought support after Mahadi continued to suffer from throat pain, difficulty swallowing, recurrent fever, breathing difficulties, and sleep apnea despite previous treatment. He was diagnosed with bilaterally enlarged tonsils and adenoids, which are significantly affecting his breathing and sleep. Without appropriate treatment, the airway obstruction may worsen, potentially causing severe sleep apnea, prolonged oxygen deprivation, and in serious cases, life-threatening breathing complications.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctors, adenotonsillectomy is recommended to remove Mahadi’s enlarged tonsils and adenoids and relieve the obstruction affecting his breathing. With timely surgery and appropriate post-operative care, his throat pain, swallowing difficulties, recurrent fever, breathing problems, and sleep apnea are expected to improve, allowing him to sleep, eat, and participate in daily activities more comfortably. If left untreated, persistent airway obstruction may worsen sleep apnea and cause prolonged oxygen deprivation, disturbed sleep, poor growth, and recurrent infections. In severe cases, breathing obstruction may become life-threatening, making timely treatment important for his health and development.
