About pregnancy
The patient is carrying a single live pregnancy of approximately 34+ weeks with a breech presentation, meaning the baby is positioned feet or buttocks first instead of head down. The ultrasound also shows moderate polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid), which increases the risk of pregnancy and delivery complications.

Background
Rupali Rani is a cheerful, kind-hearted, and hopeful 25-year-old woman who, despite her hearing difficulties and developmental challenges, dreams of safely welcoming her first baby and building a loving family. She lives with her husband, Gonesh Chandra, and his two daughters, including a 5-year-old daughter with a disability who cannot speak, while her husband struggles to support the entire family as a day laborer earning only BDT 5,000 per month. At 34+ weeks of pregnancy, doctors diagnosed Rupali with moderate polyhydramnios and a breech baby, making her pregnancy high-risk and requiring a Caesarean section that the family cannot afford. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika, giving them hope during this difficult time. Without timely surgery, both Rupali and her unborn baby face a high risk of prolonged or obstructed labor, severe bleeding, fetal distress, birth injury, stillbirth, or other life-threatening complications.
Medical history
The patient,Rupali Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 27th June 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2.5 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 1th July 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
The treating doctor has advised an urgent Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest delivery option because of the baby's breech presentation and moderate polyhydramnios. With timely surgery, the baby can be delivered safely, significantly reducing the risk of birth complications while protecting the mother's health and improving the chances of a full recovery for both. Following appropriate postoperative care and regular follow-up, Rupali is expected to recover well and care for her newborn. If LUCS is not performed promptly, both the mother and baby face a high risk of obstructed labor, umbilical cord prolapse, severe bleeding, fetal distress, birth injury, stillbirth, or even life-threatening complications for both.
