Liana Akter mumu is a 2-days-old baby infant, has been suffering with severe pneumonia, a serious lung infection that causes inflammation and fluid accumulation in the airways. She is experiencing persistent fever last 1 days, cough, rapid and labored breathing, and chest indrawing, all of which indicate significant respiratory distress. Due to his young age, the infection has progressed quickly, making his condition critical and requiring urgent hospital-based treatment with oxygen and antibiotics.

Background
Liana Akter Mumu is a precious two-day-old baby girl whose birth brought immense joy and hope to her parents and sister. Her father works as a daily laborer and earns only BDT 5,000 per month, supporting a family of six living in a small tin-shed house, making the cost of hospitalization, oxygen therapy, and medicines far beyond their means. When Mumu developed severe pneumonia with high fever and breathing difficulties just days after birth, her family was terrified as her condition rapidly became life-threatening. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika Rahman, who gave them hope during this critical time. Without urgent treatment, oxygen support, and close medical care, Mumu could develop respiratory failure, widespread infection, permanent lung damage, or even lose her life, devastating a family that dreams of watching their newborn daughter grow up healthy and happy.
Medical history
Liana Akter Mumu is a 2 days-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past one days, but this time, her condition worsened as she developed pneumonia. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, she received critical care at City Clinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of her condition.Mumu was admitted on 26/06/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 01/07/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, Mumu is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to her family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, her parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and City Clinic; we are forever grateful for your support!"
Prognosis
According to the doctors, with timely treatment using appropriate antibiotics, oxygen therapy, and supportive care, Mumu has a strong chance of recovery and can go on to live a healthy, normal life. Early and complete treatment will help clear the infection, improve her breathing, and prevent long-term damage to her lungs. However, if the child is left untreated, the pneumonia may rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, blood infection (sepsis), or even death. At such a young age, delays in treatment greatly increase the risk of permanent complications or loss of life. Immediate medical intervention is therefore critical to saving Mumu's life and securing her future.
