Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Huzaifa is a gentle and innocent 3-year-old boy who has endured pain and difficulty walking since birth because of a hemangioma affecting the fourth toe of his right foot. His father, Md. Masum, works as a furniture craftsman to support the family, while his mother, Mst. Khadiza Akter, cares for Huzaifa, his elder brother, and his younger sister, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of specialized surgery with their limited income. As Huzaifa grew older, the persistent pain and swelling prevented him from playing and walking like other children, leaving his parents deeply worried about his future. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Jamilur Reza, giving them hope for the treatment their son desperately needs. Without timely debulking surgery, Huzaifa may continue to suffer from worsening pain, progressive swelling, recurrent bleeding or ulceration, difficulty walking, and permanent impairment of his foot

Medical history

On 21/06/2026, a 3-year-old boy named Md. Huzaifa came to Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. with a hemangioma affecting the fourth toe of his right foot. We immediately referred him to a pediatric surgery specialist. After examining Md. Huzaifa, the doctor recommended several medical tests, and we ensured that all the tests were completed. The doctor reviewed all the test reports and decided that surgery was necessary. On the same day, 21/06/2026, Debulking Surgery under Caudal Block anesthesia was successfully performed. Md. Huzaifa’s operation was completed smoothly and successfully. After the surgery, he was kept under post-operative observation for some time before being transferred to a cabin. Under the proper guidance of the doctors and the regular follow-up care of the nurses, Md. Huzaifa is now feeling much better and recovering well. Today, on 23/06/2026, he was discharged from Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. in good health and returned home. Seeing Md. Huzaifa’s recovery, his family is now very happy. Md. Huzaifa’s parents and family expressed their heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to Helpster Charity and everyone at Modern Hospital Pvt. Ltd. for providing him with free treatment.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctors, Debulking Surgery under Caudal Block anesthesia is essential to reduce the size of the hemangioma, relieve pain and swelling, improve Md. Huzaifa’s ability to walk comfortably, preserve the function of his right foot, and enhance his overall quality of life. Successful surgery will help him move more freely, participate in normal childhood activities, and achieve healthy physical development. If left untreated, he may continue to suffer from persistent pain, progressive swelling, difficulty walking, recurrent trauma to the affected toe, ulceration, bleeding, and functional impairment of the foot. In severe cases, the hemangioma may continue to enlarge, leading to chronic pain, recurrent infections, tissue damage, deformity of the affected toe, and permanent impairment of foot function.
