Background
Hauwa is an 18-year old orphan, who lives with her mother and siblings. She is introverted and she likes creative arts. She has dream to become an entrepreneur in the future. She was apparently well, until 6 months ago she started feeling pain in her abdomen, but her family did not have money to send her for treatment. She is diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst.
Medical history
Hauwa Mohd Alkali is 18 year old orphan who lives with her mother(widow).She was evaluated for complex Ovarian cyst and admitted for surgery on 18th February, 2024.Had successful surgery, Post operative treatment and was virtually discharged home on 22nd February, 2024.
Prognosis
Hauwa needs an urgent surgery due to the symptoms and to avoid complications. Complex ovarian cysts can potentially grow larger, causing increased pain, discomfort, and pressure on surrounding organs. There is also a risk of rupture, which can lead to severe pain, internal bleeding, and infection. In some cases, complex cysts may be cancerous, and delayed treatment could allow the cancer to advance to a more advanced stage, reducing the chances of successful treatment. Surgery may involve removal of the cyst (cystectomy) or, in more severe cases, removal of the entire ovary (oophorectomy).
