Jainuk Bibi has been diagnosed with Acute Left-Sided Mastitis with Left Axillary Lymphadenopathy. This is an acute infection and inflammation of the left breast causing significant pain, swelling, tenderness, and enlargement of the nearby lymph nodes in the armpit. The swollen lymph nodes indicate that her body is actively responding to the infection and require careful medical evaluation and treatment. Without timely treatment, the infection may progress to a breast abscess or spread into the bloodstream, potentially causing serious complications such as sepsis.

Background
Jainuk Bibi is an 18-year-old Rohingya mother who, due to illness and difficulties in her married life, has returned with her young daughter to her parents’ home for support and safety. Her father is already struggling to support seven children and his granddaughter, leaving the family under severe financial pressure and unable to afford Jainuk’s necessary medical treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through the medical outreach at Kutupalong, the family sought assistance for her painful acute left-sided mastitis with swollen lymph nodes in the left armpit. Without timely treatment, the infection may worsen and develop into a breast abscess or spread into the bloodstream, causing sepsis and serious illness
Medical history
Jainuk Bibi, an 18-year-old woman, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 14.07.2026 through Helpster volunteer Md. Younus with acute left-sided mastitis and axillary lymph node swelling. She received IV antibiotics, pain management, local breast care, nutritional support, and close monitoring, resulting in gradual improvement. She was discharged in stable condition on 19.07.2026 with medications and follow-up advice. Her family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the Orion Hospital medical team for their generous support and compassionate care.
Prognosis
According to the doctor, immediate hospitalization with IV antibiotics, pain management, fluid therapy, local breast care, nutritional support, and close monitoring is essential to control Jainuk’s infection and prevent abscess formation. With timely treatment, the breast pain, swelling, and inflammation are expected to gradually resolve, allowing her to regain strength and return to normal activities, including caring for her child. If left untreated, the infection may progress to a breast abscess, tissue damage, or spread into the bloodstream. This can lead to sepsis, shock, and other potentially life-threatening complications.
