Israt Jannat has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia with enteric fever, a serious condition involving a severe lung infection along with a bacterial infection that causes prolonged high fever and weakness. She is experiencing cough, high fever, breathing difficulties, and excessive crying, indicating that the illness is significantly affecting her overall health. The lung infection has made it difficult for her to breathe comfortably, while the enteric fever has contributed to her persistent fever and physical weakness. Due to the severity of her condition, she has required hospitalization, medications, supportive treatment, and close monitoring to help control the infections and support her recovery.

Background
Ishrat Jannat is a cheerful and innocent 6-year-old girl who is deeply loved by her family. Her father, Ruble Ahmed (31), works as an auto driver and earns only about 6,000 BDT per month, while her mother, Selina Begum (24), is a housewife, making it extremely difficult for the family to meet both daily household expenses and medical costs. When Ishrat developed fever, cough, breathing difficulties, and severe weakness, her condition rapidly worsened, causing great concern among her parents, who were unable to afford the necessary hospital treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who guided them to seek assistance for their daughter. Without timely treatment, Ishrat's severe pneumonia and enteric fever could have led to serious breathing problems, worsening infection, and other life-threatening complications, putting her young life at significant risk.
Medical history
Israt Jannat was admitted to Seba Hospital on 02 July 2026 with complaints of fever, cold, cough, respiratory distress, and excessive crying that had been worsening for several days. After clinical evaluation and investigations, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and enteric fever. She received treatment and was kept under close observation in the hospital, where she was provided with medications, supportive care, and regular monitoring. Her condition gradually improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 09 July 2026 with medical advice and follow-up instructions. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to the Seba Hospital team and everyone who supported her treatment and recovery.
Prognosis
According to the treating physician, Israt Jannat has a good chance of recovery if she receives timely treatment, proper medications, adequate nutrition, and close monitoring. The treatment will help clear the lung infection, control the enteric fever, improve her breathing, and restore her overall health and energy. With successful management, she is expected to return to her normal daily activities without long-term complications. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia can lead to respiratory failure, while enteric fever may cause serious complications such as dehydration, intestinal problems, or bloodstream infection. These complications can become life-threatening and may result in permanent health consequences or even death.
