When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

A closed fracture of the shaft of the right radius and ulna means that both bones of the right forearm are broken due to an injury, but the skin remains unbroken. This condition causes severe pain, swelling, deformity, and difficulty in moving the affected arm and hand properly. If not treated promptly, it may lead to improper healing and long-term problems with arm function.Overall, this injury is serious and requires timely medical treatment and close follow-up for proper recovery.

Background
Sayedul Amin is a cheerful and resilient 9-year-old Rohingya (FDMN) boy who enjoys studying at his local maktab and caring for his younger siblings despite the many hardships his family faces. Having recently fled Myanmar, his family is living temporarily with relatives in the Kutupalong Refugee Camp and has not yet begun receiving WFP food assistance, while his father struggles to earn a small income through irregular day labor, making the cost of orthopedic treatment completely unaffordable. After a serious fall, Sayedul sustained a severe injury to his right forearm and urgently needs specialized treatment to restore the normal function of his arm. Without timely medical care, the fracture could heal improperly, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, limited use of his hand, and lifelong disability that would affect his education and future. His father learned about Helpster Charity during a medical outreach program at Kutupalong Refugee Camp, giving this vulnerable Rohingya family hope that Sayedul can receive the lifesaving treatment he urgently needs.
Medical history
Sayedul Amin, a 9-year-old boy, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 05.07.2026 through Helpster volunteer Md. Younus after suffering a serious fracture to his right forearm following a fall. After evaluation, he underwent successful surgery to repair the broken bones, followed by appropriate postoperative care and rehabilitation. He was discharged in stable condition on 12.07.2026 with medications and follow-up advice. The entire cost of his treatment was covered by Helpster Charity, and his family sincerely thanks Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for giving Sayedul the chance to recover and regain full use of his arm.
Prognosis
Doctors have advised admission for close monitoring, pain management, detailed evaluation, and surgical fixation of the broken right forearm bones under anesthesia, followed by postoperative rehabilitation and regular follow-up. With timely surgery and proper recovery care, the child has an excellent chance of achieving good bone healing and regaining normal strength and function of the affected arm. However, if left untreated, the fracture may heal in an abnormal position, leading to permanent deformity, restricted movement, chronic pain, nerve or blood vessel complications, severe disability, and in rare circumstances, serious complications that may even become life-threatening even death
