About pregnancy
Eti Moni has been diagnosed with 39+ weeks of single viable pregnancy with oligohydramnios and fetal distress. The presence of oligohydramnios, which is a low level of amniotic fluid, Obstrected labour, is a significant concern as it can put the baby at risk for complications like umbilical cord compression, which makes her current delivery more complex and necessitates C-section. This combination of factors requires close medical supervision to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby.

Background
Eti Moni is an 18-year-old pregnant woman who dreams of giving birth to a healthy baby and building a happy family with her husband, Kawsar (27), a daily wage laborer who earns only BDT 8,000–9,000 per month. The family also supports her elderly in-laws, Zakiya Begum (55) and Mostafa Sikder (68), as well as her physically disabled brother-in-law, Zakir (40), making it difficult to manage household expenses and medical costs. During her first pregnancy, everything progressed normally, and the family hoped for a home vaginal delivery, but at 39+ weeks she developed leakage of amniotic fluid and was later diagnosed with oligohydramnios and fetal distress, a life-threatening condition for the unborn baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, but they could not afford the emergency cesarean section and related medical expenses on their own. Without urgent surgery, the baby could have suffered severe oxygen deprivation, permanent injury, or even death, while the mother's life and future reproductive health could also have been placed at serious risk.
Medical history
After experiencing, passage of gush of water and leaky membrane for 2 days, she arrived at our hospital at 09.00AM in 02nd june 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 05th june 2026.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.
Prognosis
The doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a crucial, life-saving intervention. The patient's history of premature rupture of membranes, severe oligohydramnios and fetal distress puts both the mother and baby at significant risk. The lack of amniotic fluid can lead to the umbilical cord becoming compressed, which can cut off the baby's oxygen supply and lead to fetal distress, irreversible brain damage, or stillbirth. Without the immediate surgical delivery, the risk of a tragic outcome for the baby is high. The C-section, while a major surgery, offers the best chance to bypass these life-threatening complications and ensure a safe and healthy start to the baby's life.
