Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pregnancy
Sonia Akter has been diagnosed with a 38+ weeks single viable pregnancy with breech presentation and fetal distress. Breech presentation is a condition in which the baby is positioned feet-first or buttocks-first instead of the normal head-down position, making delivery more difficult and risky. Fetal distress indicates that the unborn baby is experiencing stress inside the womb and may not be receiving adequate oxygen and support.

Background
Sonia Akter is a caring and hopeful 26-year-old woman who dreams of welcoming her first child and building a happy future with her husband, Hanif. Her husband earns only BDT 8,000 per month as a daily wage laborer and is the sole provider for five family members, including his elderly parents, Hashem Mallik (65) and Moriyom Begum (55), and his younger brother Sumon (16), making the cost of emergency medical treatment impossible for the family to afford. After a healthy pregnancy, Sonia's family was devastated when she developed labor pain with reduced fetal movement, and doctors found breech presentation with fetal distress, placing the unborn baby's life in immediate danger. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, who guided them toward urgent support during this crisis. Without an immediate caesarean section, the baby could suffer severe oxygen deprivation, birth injury, permanent disability, or death, while Sonia herself could face life-threatening complications during labor, turning a joyful first pregnancy into a heartbreaking tragedy for the entire family.
Medical history
After experiencing, passage of gush of labour pain for 1 days, she arrived at our hospital at 10.00AM in 08th june 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed breech presentation with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful female baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 12.30PM in 11st june 2026.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.
Prognosis
The doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a crucial, life-saving intervention. The patient's history of labour pain, less fetal movement and breech presentation puts both the mother and baby at significant risk. which can cut off the baby's oxygen supply and lead to fetal distress, irreversible brain damage, or stillbirth. Without the immediate surgical delivery, the risk of a tragic outcome for the baby is high. The C-section, while a major surgery, offers the best chance to bypass these life-threatening complications and ensure a safe and healthy start to the baby's life.
