Shorifa Begum is a kind and hardworking 20-year-old young woman who always puts her family first despite living in poverty. Her father, Abdus Sattar, earns only BDT 5,000 per month as a day labourer and is the sole provider for Shorifa, her mother Rusna Begum, and her elder sister Monwara Begum, making it impossible to afford hospital treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. As her persistent vomiting, high fever, and severe abdominal pain worsened, she became too weak to carry out her normal activities, leaving her family frightened and helpless. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteers Tanjila Shahin Ema and Redwan, who guided them to life-saving medical assistance when they had no other option. Without timely treatment for Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) with cystitis, Shorifa could develop severe dehydration, kidney infection, bloodstream infection, and other life-threatening complications, placing both her health and her family's future at serious risk.

Shorifa Begum was admitted to Seba Hospital on 06 July 2026 with complaints of excessive vomiting, fever, and abdominal pain that had been persisting for several days. Following clinical assessment and investigations, she was diagnosed with Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) with cystitis. She received treatment under close medical supervision and was kept under observation in the hospital for several days. During her hospitalization, she was provided with medications, intravenous fluids, and supportive care by the doctors and nurses. Her condition gradually improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 09 July 2026 with medical advice and follow-up instructions. At the time of discharge, the patient and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to the Seba Hospital team and Helpster Charity for their support during her treatment and recovery.

According to the treating doctor, hospital-based treatment with medicines, intravenous fluids, and close monitoring is expected to fully control Sharifa Begum's acute gastroenteritis (AGE) and cystitis, allowing her to recover and return to her normal daily activities. With timely treatment, her dehydration, abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, and urinary infection are expected to resolve without lasting complications. Adequate hydration, prescribed medications, good hygiene, and follow-up care are essential to ensure complete recovery. However, if left untreated, the severe vomiting and diarrhea may lead to life-threatening dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, while the urinary tract infection could spread to the kidneys or bloodstream, resulting in serious complications that may require intensive medical care
