Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Rajuma has been diagnosed with acute exacerbation of chronic adenotonsillitis. This means he has a severe infection and swelling of the tonsils and adenoids, causing significant throat pain, difficulty swallowing, and blockage of the nasal airway. As a result, he experiences breathing difficulties, loud snoring, disturbed sleep, and reduced food intake due to pain and discomfort. The condition has affected his daily activities and overall well-being. If not treated appropriately, the infection and swelling may worsen, leading to serious breathing problems, recurrent infections, nutritional difficulties, and other potentially severe complications.

Background
Rajuma Begum is a caring and ambitious 15-year-old girl who studies in Class Four, dreams of becoming a teacher, and shares a close bond with her younger sister, who studies in Class Three. Her father is the family’s only earning member, but as a Rohingya day laborer he rarely finds regular work, leaving the household largely dependent on World Food Programme (WFP) food assistance and unable to afford Rajuma’s hospitalization and specialized treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through the medical outreach at Kutupalong, the family sought support for her worsening adenotonsillitis. Without timely treatment, she may suffer from recurrent severe throat infections, increasing difficulty swallowing, poor nutrition, disturbed sleep, and worsening airway obstruction. In severe cases, infection or breathing obstruction can lead to serious and potentially life-threatening complications
Prognosis
According to the doctor, adenotonsillectomy is recommended to remove the chronically infected and enlarged tonsils and adenoids, relieving Rajuma’s throat and airway problems. With successful surgery and proper postoperative care, she is expected to experience easier swallowing and breathing, better sleep, improved food intake, and fewer recurrent throat infections, allowing her to return to school and normal activities. If left untreated, she may develop repeated severe infections, poor nutrition, worsening snoring and sleep disturbance, and significant airway obstruction. Severe infection or breathing obstruction may lead to serious and potentially life-threatening complications.
