When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Samia Jannat has been diagnosed with a fracture of the lower end of the right radius, which is a break in one of the bones near the wrist caused by a fall while playing. She is experiencing pain and swelling in her right wrist, making it difficult and uncomfortable to move her hand normally. As a young child, prompt treatment is important to ensure that the bone heals properly and that normal growth and function of the arm are preserved. She has been admitted for immobilization of the injured arm, supportive treatment, and close monitoring to promote proper healing and recovery.

Background
Samia Jannat is a cheerful and playful 3-year-old girl who brings joy to her family despite their financial struggles. Her father, Bahar Uddin (30), works as a day labourer and earns only about 6,000 BDT per month, supporting Samia, her mother Ripa Begum (28), her infant sister Muhona Jannath (3 months), her grandmother Kolima Begum (50), and her uncle Ahad Uddin (32). After falling while playing, Samia suffered a fracture of the right wrist bone, causing severe pain and swelling, but her family could not afford the cost of treatment because their limited income is barely enough to cover food and other basic necessities. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Redwan and Ema, who guided them in seeking assistance for Samia's treatment. Without timely medical care, the fracture could heal improperly, leading to permanent deformity, restricted movement of her hand and wrist, long-term pain
Medical history
Samia Jannat was admitted to Seba Hospital on 09 July 2026 after sustaining an injury to her right wrist from a fall while playing. Following clinical assessment and X-ray examination, she was diagnosed with a fracture of the lower end of the right radius. She received treatment under close medical supervision and was kept under observation in the hospital. During her hospitalization, her injured arm was immobilized, and she received appropriate medications, supportive care, and regular monitoring by the doctors and nurses. Her condition remained stable and improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 10 July 2026 with medical advice and follow-up instructions. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care during her treatment and recovery.
Prognosis
According to the treating physician, Samia Jannat's fracture of the lower end of the right radius requires proper immobilization, close monitoring, and follow-up care to ensure that the bone heals in the correct position. With timely treatment, the fracture is expected to heal well, allowing her to regain normal movement and strength in her wrist and continue her childhood activities without long-term problems. Young children generally recover quickly, and early treatment greatly improves the chances of a full recovery. However, if left untreated, the broken bone may heal incorrectly, leading to deformity, persistent pain, limited wrist movement, and difficulty using the affected hand.
