Naim Islam is a cheerful 5-year-old boy who lives with his parents, elder sister, and grandparents in a family of six, bringing joy to his family despite their difficult circumstances. His father is the sole earning member, working as a local shop salesman with a monthly income of approximately BDT 7,000, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, medicines, and specialized treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, the family sought assistance in the hope of saving their son's life. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue Naim's treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, severe measles with bronchopneumonia can lead to severe respiratory failure, secondary infections, brain inflammation, permanent disability, and even death, putting Naim's life at serious risk.

Naim Islam was admitted to the hospital on 18 May 2026 after suffering from fever, cold, cough, skin rash, oral ulcer, and breathing difficulties for six days. Following a thorough medical examination and necessary diagnostic tests, doctors diagnosed him with severe measles and bronchopneumonia. He received appropriate medical treatment, medications, and close monitoring from the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Naim’s condition gradually improved over the following days. He responded well to the treatment, and his fever reduced while his breathing difficulty and other symptoms showed improvement. He was discharged from the hospital on 25 May 2026 in stable condition. Naim’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their generous support and compassionate care, which played a vital role in his recovery.

With timely medical treatment and supportive care, Naim’s severe measles and bronchopneumonia can be managed effectively, helping to reduce fever, improve breathing difficulties, and relieve other symptoms. Proper treatment and close monitoring will help restore his strength, improve his overall health, and support his return to normal daily activities. With adequate care, the chances of a gradual recovery are promising. However, if left untreated, severe measles and bronchopneumonia can worsen and lead to serious complications, including severe respiratory problems, dehydration, secondary infections, and other life-threatening health risks, which can significantly affect his overall growth and development.
