About infections
Most. Seja has been diagnosed with neonatal sepsis, a life-threatening infection in newborns. She is suffering from shivering, fever, discolored skin, shortness of breath, and a rapid, weak pulse. Neonatal sepsis can lead to serious complications such as septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), sepsis-associated encephalopathy (brain dysfunction), chronic physical weakness, and increased vulnerability to future infections.

Background
Most. Seja is a precious 13-day-old newborn who lives with her parents and elder sister, Most. Roja, in a family of four, bringing hope to her family despite their difficult circumstances. Her father is the family's only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of approximately BDT 6,000, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, intravenous medicines, investigations, and neonatal care. After learning about Helpster Charity through the hospital, the family sought assistance in the hope of saving Seja's life. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, neonatal sepsis can rapidly progress to septic shock, multi-organ failure, brain injury, permanent developmental disabilities, and other life-threatening complications that could result in the loss of her life.
Medical history
Most. Seja was admitted to the hospital on 06.07.2026 with neonatal sepsis. She received prompt antibiotic therapy, supportive medical management, continuous monitoring, and dedicated nursing care throughout her hospital stay. She responded well to the treatment, and her condition gradually improved as the infection was successfully controlled. With proper medical care and close observation, she recovered safely and was discharged in a stable and secure condition on 10.07.2026.
Prognosis
The doctor has recommended immediate hospital admission for Most. Seja so she can receive appropriate antibiotics, medications, and other supportive care. With timely treatment, her condition can improve, the infection can be controlled, and she will have a strong chance of making a full recovery. Supportive therapy will help her regain strength and reduce the risk of further complications. However, if left untreated, neonatal sepsis can lead to serious complications such as septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), sepsis-associated encephalopathy (brain dysfunction), chronic physical weakness, and increased vulnerability to future infections. Without urgent medical care, this condition could become life-threatening for such a young child.
