Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Severe pneumonia is a life-threatening lung infection where the alveoli (air sacs) become severely inflamed and fill with pus and fluid, critically impairing oxygen exchange. It requires immediate emergency medical care—often including ICU admission, oxygen therapy, and intravenous treatments. Severe malaria is a life-threatening, emergency stage of malaria that occurs when a parasite infection causes vital organ dysfunction or severe blood/metabolic abnormalities. It is almost exclusively caused by the Plasmodium falciparum parasite and requires immediate hospitalization and intravenous treatment.

Background
Ishmael Daniel is an 8-month-old baby boy and the first-born child in his family. He is being raised by his single mother and lives with his mother, grandmother, two aunties, and two uncles in his grandmother's two-room mud-walled house without electricity. His mother is unemployed, leaving his grandmother as the family's sole provider. She relies on small-scale farming and the sale of farm produce to support the extended household, but the income is barely enough to meet their basic needs. Two days before admission, Ishmael developed a cough, fever, difficulty in breathing, wheezing, and poor feeding. His family was unable to buy any medication because of financial constraints. A neighbour who was familiar with Helpster Charity visited the home, noticed the child's worsening condition, and assisted by bringing him to the hospital so he could access timely medical care. After assessment and investigations, Ishmael was diagnosed with severe malaria and severe pneumonia. He was promptly admitted to the ward, where treatment was initiated immediately with close monitoring and supportive care, giving him the best chance of recovery.

ISHMAEL DANIEL WAS DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE MALARIA AND SEVERE PNEUMONIA WAS PUT ON TREATMENT ANTIMALIALS, ANTIBIOTIC,ANALGESICS,ANTIHISTAMINE AND OTHER DRUGS AS PER MEDICALREPORT ,THE PATIENT RESPONDED WELL TO CARE AND TREATMENT HENCE DISCHARGED HOME ON ORAL MEDICATION TO COMPLETE AT HOME UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE MOTHER
Prognosis
Ishmael was admitted with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, both life-threatening conditions requiring urgent inpatient treatment. He received intravenous antimalarial medication, broad-spectrum antibiotics, oxygen therapy as indicated, intravenous fluids, fever management, nutritional support, and close monitoring. He responded well to treatment, with gradual improvement in his breathing, feeding, fever, and overall condition. His prognosis is good, provided he completes treatment, attends follow-up appointments, and receives prompt medical care if symptoms recur. Delayed treatment or recurrent severe infections could result in serious complications, including respiratory failure, severe anemia, neurological injury, or death.
