Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Tamim Ahmed has been diagnosed with Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) with Cystitis. Acute Gastroenteritis is an infection that causes inflammation of the stomach and intestines, leading to fluid and electrolyte loss that can affect a child's overall health. Cystitis is an infection of the urinary bladder that may spread to the kidneys and cause more serious complications if left untreated.

Background
Tamim Ahmed is a cheerful and affectionate 5-year-old boy who loves spending time with his elder brother, Jaharul Islam, and playing around his home despite the family's financial struggles. His father, Jubayer Ahmed, earns only about BDT 5,000 per month as a tomtom driver and is the sole breadwinner for a family of five, making it impossible to afford the costs of hospitalization, medicines, and medical investigations when Tamim became seriously ill. What began as abdominal pain gradually worsened into vomiting, fever, cough, and severe weakness, leaving him unable to eat, play, or carry out his normal daily activities. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who guided them toward much-needed support during this difficult time. Without timely treatment for Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) with Cystitis, Tamim could develop severe dehydration, worsening infection, kidney-related complications, and other life-threatening conditions
Medical history
Tamim Ahmed was admitted to Seba Hospital on 11 July 2026 with complaints of acute gastroenteritis and constipation. He had been suffering from stomach problems, including difficulty passing stool and discomfort, which affected his daily activities and overall well-being. He received treatment under the care of the hospital's medical team and remained under close observation for several days. During his hospitalization, he was provided with medicines, fluids, and supportive care by the doctors and nurses. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and he was discharged on 16 July 2026 with medical advice. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care during his treatment.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, timely hospitalizatiom and appropriate treatment is expected to significantly improve the patient's condition and prevent further complications. With proper medical care, medications, monitoring, and follow-up, the patient has a good chance of recovery and returning to normal daily activities. However, if the condition is left untreated, it may progressively worsen and lead to serious health complications, permanent disability, organ damage, or other life-threatening consequences depending on the underlying disease
