Abu Talha Sami is a bright and active 13-year-old boy who enjoys playing football and is determined to continue his education despite his family's financial struggles. His father, Bodrul Hoque (50), works as a day labourer and earns only about BDT 4,000 per month, while his mother, Rasheda Begum (31), cares for the family, including his younger sister, Khadeja Begum (11), who is studying in Class 6. After suffering a serious injury while playing football, Abu Talha developed severe pain and swelling in his right arm and was diagnosed with a supracondylar fracture of the right humerus, a serious fracture near the elbow that required urgent treatment. However, his family's limited and irregular income made it impossible for them to afford the cost of treatment and hospitalization. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who guided them in seeking support. Without timely treatment, the fracture could heal improperly, leading to permanent deformity, restricted arm movement, long-term disability

Abu Talha Sami was admitted to Seba Hospital on 12 July 2026 after suffering an injury to his right arm, which caused severe pain and difficulty moving the affected limb. Due to the seriousness of the injury, he required immediate medical attention and was kept under close observation by the hospital's medical team. During his hospitalization, he received the necessary treatment, medicines, and supportive care from the doctors and nurses. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and he was discharged on 13 July 2026 with medical advice and follow-up recommendations. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care during his treatment.

According to the treating physician, Abu Talha Sami required hospitalization and immobilization of his injured arm because the supracondylar fracture of the right humerus was causing significant pain, swelling, and restricted movement. With proper treatment, the fractured bone is expected to heal in the correct position, allowing him to regain normal arm function and return to school, sports, and daily activities without long-term problems. Early treatment and close monitoring will also help prevent complications and ensure proper bone healing. However, if left untreated, the fracture could heal incorrectly, leading to permanent deformity, limited movement of the elbow and arm, chronic pain, and possible nerve or blood vessel damage.
