Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology
Yemin Hasan has been diagnosed with Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD) with Pneumonia. Acute Watery Diarrhoea is a condition characterized by frequent loose stools that can rapidly lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and weakness, particularly in infants and young children. Pneumonia is a serious infection of the lungs that causes inflammation of the airways and can affect the body's ability to receive adequate oxygen.

Background
Yemin Hasan is a cheerful and innocent 9-month-old baby who brings happiness to his parents, elder brother Tamim, sister Tania, and grandmother Rabia despite their difficult living conditions. His father, Faruk Ahmed, earns only about BDT 6,000 per month as a day labourer and is the sole provider for a family of six, making it impossible to afford the cost of hospitalization, medicines, and investigations when Yemin became seriously ill. What began as diarrhoea, cough, and fever quickly progressed to pneumonia and dehydration, leaving the baby weak and struggling to breathe, causing great fear among his family members. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Redwan, who guided them toward life-saving support when they had no other means to continue treatment. Without timely medical care, Yemin could suffer severe dehydration, worsening pneumonia, respiratory failure, serious infections, or even death, devastating a family that dreams of seeing him grow up healthy and achieve a brighter future.
Medical history
Yemin Hasan was admitted to Seba Hospital & Diagnostic Center on 15 July 2026 with frequent loose stools, fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and signs of dehydration. He received treatment under the care of the hospital team for several days and was kept under close observation due to his diagnosis of Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD) with Pneumonia. During his hospitalization, he was provided with medicines, fluids, nutritional support, and other supportive care by the doctors and nurses. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and he was discharged on 22 July 2026 with medical advice and follow-up instructions. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care during his recovery.
Prognosis
According to the treating physician, hospital treatment, fluids, medicines, and close observation are essential to help Yemin Hasan recover from acute diarrhoea and pneumonia. With timely treatment, his diarrhoea will stop, dehydration will improve, the lung infection will heal, and his breathing will become easier. This will help him regain his strength and continue growing and developing normally. However, if left untreated, he may become severely dehydrated, struggle to breathe, become extremely weak, and develop serious complications. As Yemin is only 9 months old, these problems can quickly become life-threatening, making prompt treatment very important for his recovery and survival.
