Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pregnancy
Moni Debnath is a 37-week-and-6-day pregnant woman, gravida 1, who presented with a breech presentation, a condition in which the fetus is positioned in the uterus with its buttocks or feet pointing downward instead of the normal head-down position. This complication increases the risk of fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, and head entrapment during delivery.

Background
Most. Moni Debnath is a polite and resilient 18-year-old expectant mother who lives with her husband, her young brother-in-law, and her elderly parents-in-law in a family of five, doing her best to care for her family despite their difficult circumstances. Her husband is the family's only earning member, working as a day labourer with a monthly income of approximately BDT 6,000, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, surgery, medicines, and delivery-related care. After learning about Helpster Charity through a leaflet, the family sought assistance in the hope of ensuring a safe delivery for Moni and her unborn baby. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely medical intervention, her breech pregnancy may lead to obstructed labour, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth injury, severe maternal bleeding, stillbirth, and other life-threatening complications that could endanger both the mother and her baby.
Medical history
Moni Debnath was admitted to the hospital on 02.07.2026 at 37 weeks of pregnancy with a breech presentation. She underwent a successful Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS) under spinal anesthesia on the same day, performed by Consultant Gynecologist Dr. Nahid Akter with anesthesia administered by Dr. Anik. Following the surgery, both mother and baby remained safe and stable. She received proper medical management, continuous monitoring, and attentive nursing care, which helped her recover well. After making a satisfactory recovery, she was discharged in a stable and secure condition on 05.07.2026.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for Moni Debnath is a Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS) under Spinal Anesthesia (SAB), which is the safest option to deliver the baby promptly and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, both the mother and the baby are expected to recover well, and the baby is expected to lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, or head entrapment during delivery. The mother may also face life-threatening infections and other serious complications.
