Md. Fahim is a hardworking and determined 17-year-old student who dreams of completing his education and supporting his family through a better future. His father, Abdul Halim, is a small-scale farmer and the family's only earning member, struggling to support Fahim, his wife Rumana Akter, their three school-going children—Faija Jannath, Mahfuja Jannath Tarin, and Tanim Ahmed—and elderly grandmother Anuwara Begum on a limited income, leaving them unable to afford the cost of emergency surgery and ongoing treatment. After a devastating road traffic accident, Fahim sustained a deep lacerated wound with severe tendon injuries to his right foot, requiring urgent surgery, skin grafting, and continued hospital care to save the function of his leg. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Redwan, whose support gave them hope during this difficult time. Md. Fahim was admitted to Sylhet Gastroliver Hospital on 15 July 2026 after sustaining a severe lacerated injury to his right foot with tendon damage and bone loss following a road traffic accident. He underwent wound debridement and dressing, received appropriate medications, and was kept under close observation by the orthopedic team. During his hospital stay, he was provided with regular wound care, pain management, antibiotics, and supportive treatment, and his condition gradually improved. As he became clinically stable, he was discharged on 19 July 2026 with medications, follow-up advice, and a plan for delayed tendon repair surgery. At the time of discharge, Fahim's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, the medical team of Sylhet Gastroliver Hospital, and Helpster Volunteer Redwan for their timely support and compassionate care.

The doctor expects that with appropriate wound care, IV antibiotics, tendon repair, skin grafting, and proper immobilization, the wound should heal and the patient should gradually regain movement and walking ability. Regular dressing, medication, and follow-up are important for successful recovery. If left untreated, the deep foot wound may become infected, leading to delayed healing, tissue damage, or serious infection. Inadequate tendon healing could result in permanent difficulty moving the toes, chronic pain, restricted walking, and long-term disability.
