When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Mim suffers from the Respiratory tract infection and breast abscess. Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are infections that affect the parts of the body responsible for breathing, like the sinuses, throat, airways, or lungs. A breast abscess happens when pus builds up around the breast. Signs and symptoms include swelling of the breast, pain in and around the breast, and sometimes pus coming out from the abscess.

Background
Mim is a 10-year-old girl who used to live happily with her mom in her grandparents' single-room house. Sadly, her dad passed away four years ago, and her grandparents are no longer alive. Mim is in first grade at a primary school. She's a very outgoing girl who loves talking to her friends and visiting her cousins' houses. Her mom is the only one bringing in money for the family. Recently, Mim has been getting sick a lot with respiratory infections, and she also has a small abscess in her breast. Because of this, she needs to go to the hospital.
Medical history
Mim received a diagnosis of respiratory tract infection accompanied by a small left-sided breast abscess. Her symptoms included recurrent cough and cold, respiratory distress, as well as pain and swelling around her left breast. To address her condition, Mim underwent a suitable treatment regimen consisting of injectable antibiotics, pain relievers, nebulization, and other medications, all closely monitored by medical professionals. Following the prescribed treatment, she has nearly recovered and has resumed her normal lifestyle, feeling much improved. Mim's Mother, Julekha: "I am so grateful to Helpster Charity and Narayanganj Polyclinic. We were desperate while looking for the money for the treatment as even Government hospitals in Bangladesh ask for money and often do not provide proper treatment."
Prognosis
If an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is not treated, it can weaken the immune system and the body's natural defenses. This can make it easier for other infections, such as bacterial sinusitis or ear infections, to develop as secondary complications. If the URTI is caused by a contagious virus (e.g., the common cold or influenza), untreated individuals can continue to spread the infection to others, potentially leading to outbreaks in close-contact settings like schools or workplaces.
