Rahima Khatun is a resilient 22-year-old mother who lives with her husband, their 4-year-old son Risalat, her elderly parents-in-law, and her husband's younger brother and sister in a family of seven. Her husband is the family's only earning member, working as an agricultural day laborer with a monthly income of approximately BDT 7,000, which is barely enough to cover food and other basic necessities, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, surgery, medicines, and delivery-related treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity through the staff of Life Care Hospital, the family sought assistance in the hope of accessing the urgent medical care Rahima requires. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, a breech pregnancy can lead to obstructed labor, fetal distress, birth injury, severe bleeding, stillbirth, and other life-threatening complications that could endanger both the mother and her baby.

Rahima Khatun was admitted on 14 June 2026 at 38 weeks of pregnancy due to breech presentation, requiring close monitoring and a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS). The surgery was successful, and she safely delivered a healthy baby. After receiving post-operative care, medications, nutritional support, and close monitoring, both mother and baby recovered well and were discharged in stable condition on 17 June 2026. Rahima and her family sincerely thank Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team for their timely financial assistance, compassionate care, and support, which ensured a safe delivery and a healthy future for both mother and child.

Doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) along with supportive treatment and close monitoring to safely manage Rahima Khatun's 38-week pregnancy complicated by breech presentation and to ensure the best possible outcome for both mother and baby. With timely surgery and appropriate medical care, there is a strong chance of a safe delivery and gradual recovery, allowing Rahima Khatun to return home and care for her newborn. The treatment will help minimize the risks associated with breech presentation while enabling doctors to closely monitor the baby's condition throughout the delivery. However, if proper treatment and timely delivery are delayed, serious complications such as difficult labor, fetal distress, umbilical cord complications, reduced oxygen supply to the baby, and other life-threatening risks for both the mother and baby may occur.
