Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Lamia Akter has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, a serious bacterial infection that spreads through contaminated food and water. The illness commonly causes prolonged high fever, severe body aches, weakness, Cough, and loss of appetite. If not treated properly, typhoid can lead to dangerous complications such as intestinal bleeding or infection spreading throughout the body. With timely medical care and appropriate antibiotics, most patients recover fully and regain their normal strength and health.

Background
Lamia Akter is a bright and cheerful 12-year-old girl who dreams of continuing her education and supporting her family in the future. She lives with her parents, two younger siblings, and elderly grandparents, while her father, Helal, struggles to support all seven family members by earning only BDT 9,000–10,000 per month as a day laborer. After developing persistent high fever, severe cough, runny nose, and weakness, she was diagnosed with typhoid fever and urgently admitted to the hospital, but the family cannot afford the cost of treatment because their limited income is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities. Without timely treatment, typhoid can lead to life-threatening complications such as severe intestinal infection, internal bleeding, or organ failure, putting Lamia's life and future at serious risk. Helpster Charity's support gives this financially struggling family hope by ensuring Lamia receives the lifesaving treatment she urgently needs before her condition becomes irreversible.
Medical history
Lamia Akter is a 12 years old child. Suddenly She got fever for many days with severe caugh. Her mother came to our hospital in 06th july 2026. Doctor diagnosed this case as typhoid fever. Doctor suggests to get admitted to hospital. Doctor and Nurses provide the baby proper treatment and affectionate care. As a result, Lamia Akter comes round from her illness and becomes heathy. On 13th july 2026, we discharged her. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Charity and the hospital for their timely and effective care.
Prognosis
Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Lamia’s typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever will gradually subside, her strength will return, and she will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect her vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
