Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About digestion system

Rumpa Akter has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis. Acute appendicitis is a sudden inflammation of the appendix, a small pouch attached to the large intestine. Background

Rumpa Akter is a 13-year-old Class 8 student who has a strong interest in her studies and enjoys attending school and spending time with her friends. She developed severe right lower abdominal pain for two days, accompanied by nausea and vomiting for five days, and was found to have tenderness and guarding in the right lower abdomen. Her father is the sole earning member of the six-member family and works as a daily wage laborer, earning approximately USD 49 per month, while her three brothers are also studying. The family cannot afford the cost of her urgent surgical treatment because her father's income is needed for household expenses and the children's education. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika Rahman and is seeking assistance for Rumpa's treatment

Medical history

The patient,Rumpa Akter was admitted to City Clinic on 9th August 2026. A successful Appendics operation section was performed the same day.The child progressed well and were discharged on 13th August 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

Prognosis

Appendectomy under spinal anesthesia (SAB) is expected to remove the inflamed appendix, relieve the abdominal symptoms, and allow Rumpa to recover and return to her normal activities and studies. With timely surgery and appropriate postoperative care, a full recovery is expected. If treatment is delayed, the inflamed appendix may rupture, causing peritonitis, abdominal infection, and sepsis. These complications can rapidly worsen the patient's condition and may become life-threatening.
