Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Tamim Islam is a 13-year-old Class Eight student who loves gardening and dreams of becoming a cricketer. He lives with his parents, elder brother Salman, and sister Sadia in a rented home under fragile living conditions, while his father is the sole earning member and works as a tailor for only approximately USD 49 per month. With this limited income, the family struggles to meet daily needs and cannot afford the cost of Tamim’s ongoing medical care. After suffering from fever, severe headache, vomiting, convulsions, painful urination, weakness, and weight loss for a month, Tamim was first treated at a government hospital without significant improvement and was later brought to New Evercare Hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute glomerulonephritis (AGN) with hypertensive encephalopathy. His condition requires close observation and continued treatment, as deterioration could lead to serious neurological and kidney-related complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a community outreach program.
Medical history
Tamim Islam was admitted to the hospital on 09.08.2026 with AGN complicated by hypertensive encephalopathy. Under the supervision of Dr. Md. Shakherul Islam Sobuj, he received appropriate antibiotic therapy, IV fluids, supportive treatment, close monitoring, and attentive nursing care. With timely and proper medical management, his condition gradually improved, his weakness decreased, and he became clinically stable and safe. After a successful course of treatment and recovery, he was discharged from the hospital on 18.08.2026 in a stable condition.
Prognosis
The doctor has recommended immediate hospital admission for Tamim Islam to receive appropriate antibiotics, medications, and supportive care. With timely treatment, his condition is expected to improve, his weakness may decrease, and further complications can be prevented. Without urgent care, the condition may lead to serious complications, including cerebral edema, acute renal failure, seizures, neurological deficits, chronic kidney disease, pulmonary edema, and heart failure, and may become life-threatening.
