Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Sara Ban Tahura, a 3-month-old infant, has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious infection affecting the lungs and breathing. She developed cough, fever, respiratory distress, and excessive crying, with crepitations heard in both lungs and an oxygen saturation of 92%. At this young age, pneumonia can progress rapidly, so timely treatment, close monitoring, and appropriate supportive care are important to prevent worsening respiratory complications.

Background
Sara Ban Tahura is a 3-month-old baby girl from a financially disadvantaged family living in a modest tin-roofed house. Her father is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning approximately USD 41 per month, which is barely enough to meet the family’s basic needs and leaves them unable to afford Sara’s medical expenses. Previously well, Sara developed cold, cough, and fever followed by respiratory distress and excessive crying, and she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, with crepitations in both lungs and oxygen saturation of 92%. Without timely treatment, her breathing difficulty and infection could worsen and lead to serious respiratory complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Redwan Hussen Shiplu, who helped them access the medical support Sara urgently needs.
Medical history
Sara Ban Tahura, a 3-month-old female infant, was admitted to Seba Hospital on 9 August 2026 at 6:00 PM with fever, cold, cough, and respiratory distress. She was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and received medical treatment under the supervision of the doctors and nurses, with close monitoring throughout her hospitalization. Her condition gradually improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 16 August 2026 at 4:00 PM with medical advice for continued care and follow-up. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team for their support and care.
Prognosis
According to the treatment plan, hospitalization with antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care is expected to control Sara’s severe pneumonia, improve her breathing and oxygenation, reduce fever, and support her recovery. With timely treatment and close monitoring, she is expected to stabilize and gradually return to normal feeding and activity. If left untreated, the infection may worsen rapidly in this young infant, causing increasing respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, or other serious complications.
