Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Torun Barmon is a 3-day-old cheerful and lovable baby boy and the first child of Ashes Barmon and his wife. He lives with his parents and grandparents in a five-member family, while his father is the only earning member and works as a day laborer to support the household. Torun developed high-grade fever, cough, cold, restlessness, and poor feeding and was admitted to City Clinic, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. With the family already struggling to meet their basic needs, they cannot afford the ongoing cost of his medical treatment, while his grandparents are unable to work due to their age. Without timely treatment, his condition could worsen and cause serious breathing and feeding difficulties; the family learned about Helpster Charity through Sadika Rahman and is seeking support for his recovery.

Medical history

Torun Barmon is a 3-days-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past two days, but this time, his condition worsened as he developed pneumonia. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at City Clinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of er condition.Torun was admitted on 11/08/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 16/08/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed,Torun is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and City Clinic; we are forever grateful for your support

Prognosis

Hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive care are expected to control the pneumonia, improve Torun’s breathing and feeding, and support his recovery. With timely treatment and close monitoring, he has a better chance of stabilizing and recovering without serious complications. If treatment is delayed or unavailable, pneumonia in a newborn may worsen rapidly, leading to severe breathing difficulty, low oxygen levels, poor feeding, and potentially life-threatening complications. Early treatment is therefore essential for his safe recovery.
