Minha Jannat has been diagnosed with sub-acute intestinal obstruction due to constipation with oral candidiasis. This condition occurs when severe or prolonged constipation interferes with the normal movement of intestinal contents, causing symptoms of partial bowel obstruction. In Minha’s case, she developed constipation for three days and was also affected by oral candidiasis, a fungal infection of the mouth. She received appropriate treatment and supportive care under medical supervision.

Minha Jannath is a 10-month-old girl from a financially disadvantaged family of five. Her father, Suhel Ahmed (23), works as an auto-rickshaw driver and earns approximately USD 49 per month, which is barely enough to meet their basic needs, making her medical expenses unaffordable. She developed constipation for three days and was diagnosed with sub-acute intestinal obstruction with oral candidiasis. She was referred from Seba Hospital for further management, and the family learned about Helpster Charity through a local community member. Medical history
Minha Jannat, a 10-month-old girl from Zakiganj, Sylhet, was admitted to Sylhet Gastro-Liver Hospital on 22 August 2026 with constipation. She was diagnosed with subacute intestinal obstruction due to constipation with oral candidiasis. She received conservative treatment, including medicines and supportive care, under close observation by the hospital team. Her condition improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 24 August 2026 with medical advice.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, Minha Jannat is expected to recover well with appropriate treatment and continued medical advice. Management of constipation should help restore normal bowel movement and prevent further intestinal obstruction, while treatment of oral candidiasis should resolve the mouth infection.
