Kayode is the youngest of six siblings, and sadly, their father passed away in March 2023. Their mother has been working hard to provide for the family, and they all live together in a four-room bungalow built by their late father. Kayode enjoys running and dreams of becoming a lawyer. About two months ago, Kayode started experiencing occasional pains in his left groin. After a check-up, doctors discovered that his left testicle had not descended into the sac like it should have. This condition is called Undescended Testes.

Olukayode presented with scrotal swelling; he was examined and diagnosed with Hydrocele. upon approval, he was admitted, and the Hydrocelectomy was done successfully. When he recovered, he was discharged home, his happy and his parents were thankful to Helpster.

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
