severe malaria-occurs when infections are complicated by serious organ failures or abnormalities in the patient's blood or metabolism. Acute tonsilitis- inflammation of the tonsils, it is usually caused by a viral infection but can be from a bacterial infection. Symptoms include sore throat, difficulty swallowing and tender lymph nodes.

Background
Tamara is a happy child who is always running around in glee. She was brought to the hospital with complaints of fever of sudden onset and a productive cough, rashes on the body and running nose. The running nose was causing a nasal congestion too. She was crying as she swallows food.
Medical history
Tamara is a bubbly, energetic child whose laughter usually fills every room she enters. Always running around with endless joy, she brings light to everyone around her. But recently, her bright spirit dimmed when she developed a sudden high fever, painful cough, body rashes, and severe nasal congestion. The discomfort became so intense that she cried whenever she tried to swallow food -her tiny body overwhelmed by illness. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with severe malaria, a life-threatening condition that can cause organ failure if untreated, along with acute tonsillitis, which left her throat inflamed and swallowing agonizing. Without quick medical intervention, Tamara’s condition could have worsened dangerously. Within days, Tamara’s fever broke, her cough subsided, and her throat healed enough for her to eat without pain. Today, Tamara is back to her playful, energetic self - running, laughing, and spreading happiness.
Prognosis
it may lead to death if the patient does not receive prompt treatment. However with treatment, the child will progress well
