Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections

Endure was diagnosed with Severe malaria and Pneumonia. Severe malaria occurs when infections are complicated by serious organ failures or abnormalities in the patient's blood or metabolism. Pneumonia develops when the defensive mechanisms within the lung become overwhelmed by a pathogen which has been either inhaled or aspirated. It is associated with a high mortality rate and significant morbidity. Severe pneumonia is frequently a multisystem disease and patients will often present with multiple organ failure.

Background

Endure is a joyful and lively child, always wearing a smile and eager to transform any found object into a playful toy. He delights in racing around the house and cherishes the moments spent beside his mom as she prepares meals. They have a cat whom Endure adores, relishing in her purrs and the affectionate way she rubs against him. However, over the past week, his demeanor has shifted dramatically; he has become notably irritable, crying frequently, and suffering from fever, diarrhea, and vomiting post-meals. On the day he was admitted to the hospital, he experienced a convulsion.

Medical history

Endure had severe malaria along with pneumonia and he was in a lot of pain and discomfort ,was admitted in the ward for further treatment. his oxygen saturation levels were monitored and these were normal during his stay in the hospital. He was put on intravenous medication for the severe malaria with pneumonia. He was stable upon discharge.

Prognosis

Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
