Natalia, a three-year-old girl, is her mother's only child. She enjoys dancing and singing and is reported to be always active in class. Currently attending kindergarten baby class, she is in the process of learning how to hold a pen and scribble. They reside a few kilometers away from the hospital. Natalia's mother reported that she complained of having fevers, was coughing, and experienced general body weakness. She kept holding her head with her tiny hands and expressing that she felt hot. Additionally, her mother mentioned that Natalia appeared weak and dull for the past two days.

On admission she was given IV PCM 100mls stat, and was put on IV Artesunate after making a diagnosis of Malaria. She was also put on anti-pyretics. By the second day of treatment she was already showing some improvement and was discharged on the third day to continue taking medication at home

Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. The UTI should be treated immediately, since it may spread onto kidneys, if left untreated. It will also keep causing pain and discomfort if the treatment is not received.
