Kendrick was diagnosed with malaria and dermatitis. The infection causes recurrent cycles of symptoms, including high fever, chills, fatigue, and, in severe cases, organ damage or failure.This stage of the disease is defined by the evidence of vital organ dysfunction. Dermatitis is a chronic disease that causes inflammation, redness, and irritation of the skin. It is a common condition that usually begins in childhood; however, anyone can get the disease at any age.

Background
Kendrick is a six-year-old boy who enjoys playing football and dancing with his friends in his spare time. He aspires to become a doctor when he grows up. A few days before being brought to the hospital, he developed a skin rash, followed by fever and vomiting.
Medical history
Kendrick was treated as an inpatient for malaria. While in the ward,he was given; IV Artesunate 59mg at 0hrs ,12th hour and 24th hour, IV PCM 300mg Stat. IV D5 500ml Stat. P.O PCM 500mg 3 times a day for 3 days,Tabs AL 2 tabs twice a day for 3 days She responded well to medications
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. Topical corticosteroid creams or ointments are often prescribed to reduce inflammation and relieve itching associated with dermatitis. These medications help to suppress the immune response and alleviate symptoms.
