Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology

Pneumonia is an infection that affects one or both lungs. It causes the air sacs, or alveoli, of the lungs to fill up with fluid or pus. Bacteria, viruses, or fungi may cause pneumonia. Complications from pneumonia include respiratory failure, sepsis and lung abscess and are more likely to affect older adults, young children, those with a weakened immune system and people with other medical problems.

Medical history

Mohammad is a 2-month boy who was suffering from Severe Pneumonia. His parents tried to cure him with antibiotics but it wasn't helpful. Mohammad's condition was worsening. He needed emergency hospitalisation. Mohammad was lucky to meet Helpster Volunteers and was accepted to Narayanganj Polyclinic. In Narayanganj Polyclinic Mohammad was treated with oxygen inhalation, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, injectable antibiotics. The treatment went successful. After 5 days Mohammed was discharged. Helpster Volunteers visited Mohammad's family. Mohammad and his family were very happy to see Helpster Volunteers. Mohammad was cheerful and active, back to his normal life. The parents of Mohammad are grateful to Helpster Heroes and Narayanganj Polyclinic Team for saving their son!

Prognosis

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
