Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Lilian is a high school student who aspires to become a medical doctor. She is hardworking and very resilient, taking her studies seriously. In addition to her academic dedication, she enjoys playing football and is a member of her school's team. Recently, Lilian came to the hospital in a panic after being bitten by a stray cat. Having heard from her teachers that a cat bite can be dangerous, she immediately sought medical attention.
Medical history
A child was bitten by a cat and experienced pain in the affected area. The bite caused some swelling and redness. The child received a tetanus injection, a series of five rabies vaccines, antibiotics for five days, and painkillers. After treatment, the child was discharged in stable condition. A hospital staff member later visited the family to check on the child's recovery and confirm whether the cat was vaccinated. The child was doing well. The public health team also followed up to ensure that dogs and cats in the area were vaccinated to prevent future risks.
Prognosis
Lilian should be given a rabies vaccine, as well as a Tetenus toxoid injection, to prevent the potential infections. She will also undergo a course of antibiotics, as the inflamed site of the bite already demonstrated the local infection.
