Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Abdulsalam is a two-year-old cheerful boy from a financially challenged family. He enjoys eating and playing with toys. He is the third child in a family of four siblings. About eight months ago, his parents noticed swelling in his scrotum that hasn't subsided. The swelling has been growing and is accompanied by occasional pain. After a clinical evaluation, Abdulsalam was diagnosed with hydrocele.

Medical history

Abdulsalam is an 2 year old boy and the 3rd born to family of 4.About eight(8) months ago his parent noticed scrotal swelling that failed to reduce and the swelling is increasing in size and there is intermittent pain. He was Clinically evaluated and diagnosed with Hydrocele and planned for surgery on 31st March, 2420.He underwent a successful surgery as proposed and he was discharged on 5th April, 2024

Prognosis

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
