Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Zainab is a 17 year old female, a senior secondary school student. She lives in Maiduguri together with her mother and 4 underaged siblings. Zainab is a very communicative and curious child who likes reading and cooking. She has been having Right iliac fossa pain, lower back pain, fever and vomiting. Admission date - 18. May 2023.
Medical history
Zainab was admitted on the 18th of May 2023, and treated for acute appendicitis. The surgery was successful, and she was discharged home. Zainab Musa Maina's mother's message: I'm really grateful to you for helping us during my daughter's severe illness. As a widow, I felt powerless, but Helpster gave us hope. It's a great support for poor families who can't afford medical bills for their sick children. My daughter was suffering from recurring pain, which worsened on May 16, 2023. When we got to UMD Medical Clinic, they found she had Acute Appendicitis. They did an emergency surgery, and it went well.
Prognosis
The patient was presented to our facility with RIF pain, fever, lower back pain and vomiting for the past one week. The situation is critical. If the patient does not undergo the surgery, a burst appendix can occur.
