Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sultan is a five-year-old boy who lives with his mother, grandparents, and uncle. His mother works as a waitress in a restaurant, while his uncle is employed as a ward worker in a hospital. Sultan's father is not present in his life. Despite the family's hardworking nature, their income is insufficient to cover all their expenses. This challenge has become even more pressing as Sultan is currently suffering from tonsillitis and requires surgery to alleviate his pain, fever, and difficulty eating properly. Sultan is a charming and joyful child who loves spending time playing with his mother. His mother, Abeda, said, "I am grateful to the volunteer, Mr. Khairul, who told me about Helpster Charity and Khulna City Hospital. I have hope now, but we still need help to pay the bills. I plead with Helpster donors to support my son. Thank you!"

Medical history

Sk. Sultan was suffering from tonsillitis diseases. He was given antibiotics and rehydrating urid's. As he started feeling better, he was discharged from the hospital to continue his treatment in bed at home. During the check-up call, the Helpster volunteer (Khairul Arefin) heard from a joyful mother that Sifat is now fully recovered and back to his normal life. Now playing with his toys.

Prognosis

Enlarged tonsils can trap bacteria and viruses, leading to recurrent throat and ear infections. These infections can cause discomfort, pain, and may require repeated courses of antibiotics. An adenotonsillectomy is a medical procedure in which both the adenoids and tonsils are surgically removed. The adenoids are small glands located at the back of the throat, while the tonsils are situated on either side of the throat.
