Favour is a gentle young boy. Recently, he has been dealing with a fever, cough, and nasal congestion. The congestion occasionally causes difficulty in breathing at night. Additionally, Favour has developed a rash on his head and neck, which his mother believes may be slightly itchy. At times, Favour becomes restless and irritable, but his mother notices that rubbing his head and neck seems to alleviate his discomfort.

Favour was brought to the hospital with symptoms of fever, cough, and nasal congestion. The congestion occasionally caused difficulty in breathing at night. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and a bacterial skin infection. He was given medication that was able to cover and treat both conditions that he was suffering from and used the medication as an out patient. A doctor's review after 3 days of medication confirmed that Favour was progressing well.

For the treatment of the skin infection, the antimicrobial creams, ointments, or lotions containing antibiotics, antifungals, or antivirals should be prescribed. A lower respiratory tract infection can lead to serious complications such as chronic lung diseases, respiratory failure, and sepsis. Without timely and proper treatment, the patient's condition may deteriorate, sometimes requiring hospitalization and intensive care.
